The Annual Beloit & Vicinity Exhibition has been recognized as one of the oldest regional juried art shows in Wisconsin and is made possible with support from the Friends of the Wright Museum.
Important Dates for 2025 Beloit & Vicinity Exhibition
- February 3, 2025: Online submission system available for entrants.
- March 29, 2025: All online entries due.
- April 25, 2025: Notification of acceptance by e-mail.
- May 20 - 24, 2025: Hand delivery of works to the Wright Museum at Beloit College by appointment.
- June 6, 2025: Opening for the 65th Annual Beloit & Vicinity Exhibition, 5-6:30pm, awards at 5:30pm.
- July 28 - August 1, 2025: Hand pick-up of works from the Wright Museum by appointment.
As a teaching museum, the mission of the Wright Museum of Art advances the educational goals of Beloit College. Our principal purpose is to provide the college and local community with diverse opportunities to appreciate, interact with, and understand the visual arts through exhibitions, collections, and programming. The Wright promotes experiential learning through an engagement with art that is both visual and tactile. It also endeavors to promote a critical reading of art as it shapes our cultural and intellectual history.

- May 20 - 24, 2025: By appointment only: artwork delivery of works to the Wright Museum at Beloit College.
- June 6, 2025: Opening for the 67th Annual Beloit & Vicinity Exhibition, 5:00 - 6:30 pm, Awards at 5:30 pm
- July 26, 2025: Last day of exhibition
- July 28 - August 1, 2025: Hand pick-up of works by appointment.

Conditions: Incomplete entries will not be considered. The entry fee is not refundable.
Awards for Beloit & Vicinity
- The Juror’s Award winner will have a gallery show the following year at the Wright Museum of Art.
- Prizes for 2nd and 3rd place will be given.
- A People's Choice Award will be presented. The winner will be featured on the front cover of the catalog the following year.
Winners will be selected after all accepted works have been received. The awards will be announced and presented at the opening reception.
Eligibility: The Beloit & Vicinity Exhibition is open to all artists residing in Wisconsin and neighboring states. Original works executed by the artist which have not been previously displayed in a Beloit & Vicinity Exhibition are eligible. Paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, textiles, performance pieces, and photographs are accepted.
Emerging Artists: Artists age 16-24 are invited to submit as “Beloit & Vicinity Emerging Artists”. Entries received in this age category will be juried by the same B&V jurors and will compete for "Best Emerging Artist" award. Their work will appear alongside regular B&V entries and be included in the catalog. Emerging artists pay a reduced entry fee of $7 per artwork.
Entry Fees
- A non-refundable $15 jurying fee per artwork must accompany each entry.
- Students entering the Emerging Artists competition must submit a non-refundable $7 jurying fee per artwork.
- Each artwork must be submitted as a separate entry. Multiple pieces cannot be entered under a single form.
Entry and Photo Submission Online: You must submit your entry online using our website. The online entry system will ask you to input your personal information and artwork information and upload a digital photo for each artwork. You will also pay your entry fee online using a credit card. We require artists to submit electronically, which cuts down on paperwork and eliminates the risk of misspellings in our catalog.
Image Format: It is vital that images be of suitable quality in the event that the artwork is included in the color catalog. JPEG format is required. Actual file sizes should be at least 1 megabyte per image.
Catalog and Advertising Materials: Entries accepted into the show will be included in the printed color catalog. Artists acknowledge that works included in the exhibition may be used by the Wright Museum of Art for advertising purposes. Catalogs will be available at the opening reception.
